Torn Between Priorities

As Aeneas pleads to another country, his wife Creusa begged him to plead with their son, Ascanius. It is also the same with Iliad in which Hector's wife Andromache begged him to plead with her and their son Astyanax. We all know that it was a tough decision for Aeneas and Hector to choose between their family and their own land. But of course, as a leader it is our responsibility to serve our country well. However as the father and head of the family, it is our responsibility to take care of our family and their own safety. Theres no point of comparison whether to choose your family or your country. And as Aneas saved Troy from Greeks, ha has saved his family too. It only means that he didn't think of his country only but his family too. It only shows that in everything we do, we must not only think of ourselves but the security of others too.

Sympathy or Not?

Have you ever thought of fighting hand to hand in a battle? What will you feel, blood lust or fear? I can't imagine myself in a battle. I can imagine what the Trojan's felt that time. The sadness, the fear in their hearts. A traumatic incident is all the cause, the Trojan war.

Me, I felt sympathy for Aeneas because that time they were attacked nothing would fill their heart but hatred and fear. He couldn't do a thing but to fight and watch his comrades fall one by one. In an instance that you're overtaken by fear, you won't be able to think what to do but for me, what Aeneas did is the best idea. I can't tell what I really feel towards Aeneas but I think he left his country for not his own sake but for the sake of his country and people.

A Talk with Ian

Today is a hot and sunny day. Good for talking and sharing experiences with my friends. It was lunch time and we headed to our favorite eating place and Ian and I started to talk about our favorite anime "One Piece".

I started our wonderful and meaningless conversation. "What episode are you watching now in One Piece?", I asked him and he answered, "I'm about in episode 478 I think". I laughed and said, "What? Don't you know I'm now on episode 40." and he answered back, "Hahaha! How long will it take you to finish watching it!? 587 episodes all in all and it's still on going!" We just laughed and laughed until we regain consciousness and talk again. "Did you know that Rayleigh thought Luffy how to use Hakki?", he asked me then I answered, "Really!? That move is so cool. It can destroy an island! Very Awesome." Watch further and you'll know more about different events which happened when they're in the New World.", he said to me and that's the end of our very long conversation about One Piece.
An Enigmatic Smile

Mona Lisa is a masterpiece made by Leonardo da Vinci a very great painter. A painter who is said to be the best of all. His paintings are said to be the greatest and each of his painting are said to be mysterious and full of meanings. One of the most controversial painting of his own is the Mona Lisa which have an enigmatic smile which made the world think of its meaning.

Different person gave different meaning about her smile. For now I'll give what I think is the meaning of her smile. Some says it defies happiness, some says it defies sadness, grief and some says it shows anger. But for me her smile defies pure happiness because I can see through the painting and the background of the painting that she is full of happiness with the wonderful ambiance behind her.

Whatever is the meaning of Mona Lisa's smile, the only person who know it is it's painter Leonardo da Vinci. Everyone have different perception and thoughts about different things still it's one of the best painting.
7 Stairs of Mistakes

"A mistake is always unforgivable, rarely excusable and always unacceptable." -Robert Fripp. Everyone can't avoid making mistakes most of all the students. They are the most often to make mistakes which are inexcusable and unacceptable. But still every people have the mind to make it right and to know what's good and bad, what to do and what's not. Every mistake must have different consequences to face depending on how heavy is their mistake.

1st Stair- The Sleepy Students
In every room there is at least one student who always sleep in the middle of the class. Because of sleeping too much in class, sometimes they don't know what have they discussed and  bringing them to a worse situation. As a punishment, they will never be drowsy even though they want to sleep.

2nd Stair- The Grade Conscious
I don't want grade conscious person in a room. That's what I can say. They'll pull you down if you got higher grades than them because they want to be the highest of all. They will not even tell you some of the topics because they think it's an advantage to get higher grades. As a punishment, they won't get any higher than 85.

3rd Stair- The Teacher Flatterers
These students are always trying to flatter teachers to make their image great. They think if they flatter teachers they'll get higher grades. As a punishment, they won't be able to talk to teachers.

4th Stair- The Cramming Students
At least half of the class do this just the time they arrive at school. Homeworks must be done at home and not in school. But them they'll do anything just to finish their homeworks in school. As a punishment, they won't be able to see their notebooks if they answer their homeworks in school.

5th Stair- The Sloths
I hate sloths. It's one of the worst. They are students who are assigned to a task everyday but they don't even do it. Like simply cleaning in a certain place everyday. As a punishment, they will never be able to use their feet and hands.

6th Stair-The Parasites
A student which rely on his/her classmates things and belongings. Just by simply asking always for paper and ballpen to your classmates make you a parasite. As a punishment, they'll be surrounded with parasite people like them and ask for things to them.

7th Stair- The Cheaters
The worst of all. I know every student have tried to cheat and the people who still do it again and again must be punished. They don't know they can hurt other student and most of all their teachers. As a punishment, half of their body will be paralyzed.

Errors in our Life

"Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the response to the error that counts." -Nikki Giovanni. Mistakes or errors are everywhere, we are living in a world full of errors and mistakes. Every each of us already made a mistake in our lives. We should not be in despair if we made a mistake, we should stand and learn from it rather than crying for it. Everybody is imperfect, everybody pull of mistakes.

In the novel "Comedy of Errors" by William Shakespeare there are many times the twins commit many mistakes or errors. It's quite funny knowing that they didn't recognize that they're talking to their friend's sibling. But not all errors or mistakes are funny, some mistakes should be forgotten but most mistakes should be corrected. We shouldn't kept our mistakes, we should make it right and learn from it. So, you know what your mistake is, and you know how to make it right.

"Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them." Every mistake we made are forgivable, admitting one is difficult. The best thing to do is to seek forgiveness in every mistake we've done.
Universal or Native Language

Language is a body of words and the systems for their use common to people who are of the same community or nation, the same geographical area, or the same cultural tradition. This is the definition of mother language. Another language that is used all through out the world is the English language. It is used by people from different counties to communicate with each other, but is it more important to master the fluency in English language rather than mastering the fluency in our mother tongue?

For me, I'll choose to master the universal language or the English language because it will help me communicate better to other people in all parts of the world. In school most of the subject's medium is English that's why we should master first the English language. Why won't I master our native language first? Because Tagalog is everywhere you can master it whenever you want. Most of the people around us speak Tagalog but mastering English takes time that's why we should master it first. "English doesn't borrow from other languages, English follows other languages".
